Specialist focus

Three capabilities across a building's life

Alongside the full service range, these three are where AGIAL leads the market — and each is bought by a different person at a different moment.

  1. Before the structure

    Dewatering

    Deep-well systems

Deep-well systems that take the water table down so excavation and foundations can proceed at all.

Why AGIAL

More than one trade on the same site

Most specialist work fails at the junction between two subcontractors. AGIAL removes the junction.

  • Waterproofing, repair and flooring on one contract — one party answerable to you
  • The technical office prices from drawings, so the tender is not a guess
  • Method statements and QA records issued before work starts, not after
  • 35 engineers and technicians on our own payroll, not hired in per job
  • Alexandria-based, working nationwide, mobilised within the week

Structural strengthening

CFRP strengthening

Fosroc-approved contractor

Carbon fibre plates and fabrics bonded to existing concrete to raise the capacity of a column, beam or slab — with no demolition and no added dead load. The building stays in use while the work goes on.

In structural use worldwide since the 1990s, and designed to ACI 440.2R and fib Bulletin 14.

  • When the use changes or a floor is added and the existing members no longer carry the load
  • When a beam or slab cracks or sags, or reinforcement corrodes and loses section
  • When demolition and rebuild would close the building for months — this is done around it
  • Every step is workmanship: substrate prep, primer, saturant and the bond line — that is what decides it
The system
Seven bonded layers, 2–4 mm in all: substrate prep, crack injection, primer, levelling putty, saturant, carbon sheet, protective coat.
Tested on every job
Pull-off tests on the prepared concrete and on the cured system, thickness logged against the design, and a handover file with batch records.
Its limits, plainly
It needs sound concrete and fire protection, and it is no answer to a member failing in compression.
Request a CFRP assessment

Send the structural drawings, the loading case and photos of the affected members.

Three offices, one chain of responsibility

Technical office

Specifies the specialist works, assesses the structure, and writes the method before anyone mobilises.

Execution office

Runs the sites, sequences the trades, and holds the quality records that get handed over.

Directly-employed crews

35 engineers and specialist workers, trained on the systems they apply — not hired per job.
